Rotary Quiz

We entered 2 teams in the quiz held at Hatherleigh last evening.

 

 

 

Team 1 – Shona, Edward, Jack and Matthew Williams

 

Team 2 – Sophie, Anna, Georgina and Tyler

 

 

 

Congratulations to both teams for their enthusiasm.  Team 1 came 3rd

and Team 2, despite their youth, were only 9 points behind.

 

 

 

World Book Day

Thursday 6th March – this is the day when you can all come to school dressed as your favourite book character, so during half term you can start to design your outfit!! 

 

 

 

PFA

Mrs Caroline Hegarty was the January 49 Club winner.

The next PFA meeting is on Thursday 28th February at 3.30 p.m. a video and refreshments will be provided for the children – everyone welcome.

 

 

The Jumble Sale is on Saturday 1st March at 2.00 p.m. gifts of cakes, draw prizes and jumble would be appreciated.  They will also need plenty of helpers – please see Caroline Hegarty.

 

 

 

Verrucas

We have noticed that some children have verrucas. If this is the case for your child, please ensure they are covered for PE and swimming, either with a waterproof plaster or a special sock which can be purchased from pharmacies.

 

 

Music Teacher

We have received a letter from Amble Skuse in North Tawton and she would be willing to come into school to teach flute or clarinet, if anyone is interested please see me for more details.

 

 

Okehampton College PTFA 'Pub Type' Quiz Night

Friday 28th March @ Okehampton College , 7.00pm for 7.30pm start

£10 per team of 4

The aim is to raise as much as possible towards the minibus fund

 Drinks (including wine & beer) will be available. If you would like to enter a team please mail kwebb@okehamptoncollege.devon.sch.uk  or leave a message in College reception 01837 650910.
