House of Fun
We have a visit from this theatre company on Tuesday 25th March, they have always been VERY popular and will be performing one, of their moral stories about Enchandia, the total cost is £200, and we would like a donation of £3 per child.
Swimming Gala
This will take place on Wednesday 26th March. Everyone is welcome to come to the pool from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. As time is short, certificates will be presented in Friday’s assembly, which you are welcome to attend (9.15 a.m.)
Primary French
Le Petite Presse is a brand-new colourful and fun magazine from Scholastic, for children in their first years of French. It gives pupils an exciting, dynamic and topical introduction to language learning.

Full colour A single subscription is £17 a year, 2 – 9 subscriptions £8 and 10+ subscriptions is £6. If you are interested in this, please complete the form, the more orders we get the cheaper it will be for you.
Okehampton
Family First Aid - Wednesdays 6.00pm – 8.00pm (5 Weeks) starting 23rd April. This is for adults and children and can lead to ‘appointed person’ status. Topics covered include causes of unconsciousness, dealing with unconsciousness, treatment of wounds/burns/scolds/, bleeding, injuries to joints/bones/muscles, treatment of poisoning and heat stroke/exhaustion.
Healthy Eating - Tuesdays 6.00pm – 8.00pm (5 Weeks) starting 29th April
We hope that parents will do this course alongside their children. You will learn about the basics of nutrition and how to prepare healthy meals. There will be some practical cookery sessions.
Being A Parent - Thursdays 7.00pm – 9.00pm (5 Weeks) starting 8th May
This course, run by Cindy Squire, focuses on strategies for coping with teenagers and general parenting skills and is for parents only.
DIY Skills - Tuesdays 6.00pm – 8.00pm (6 Weeks) starting 3rd June
Phil Orton will take you through many of the basic operations you may wish to perform in the home such as putting up shelves, wiring a plug, changing a tap washer etc. The course and skills covered will be tailored to the requirements of the group. The activity is open to adults and children alike
Dartmoor
Letterboxing - Thursdays 6.00pm – 8.00pm (6 Weeks) starting 5th June. This activity, run by Phil Orton, will get the whole family out on the moor, reading maps, finding hidden stamps and enjoying some fresh air and exercise. So once again this is one that mums and dads can do with their children
Babysitting - Still to be arranged. There has been a lot of interest in this and we will shortly announce details. The course is aimed at teenagers who want to baby sit and will help to raise awareness of how to become a responsible baby sitter.
