CD's
Do you have any unwanted CD's we could recyle.? If so would you please hand them into school as Mrs Buckett would like to use them in her DT lessons.
Table Tennis
If your child would like to learn Table Tennis after school on Wednesdays, please return the form tomorrow.
Sport Relief 2008
On Sunday 16th March there is going to be a Sport Relief 'run a mile' event held at
They are very keen that as many children and adults sign up to take part in this event so as to raise as much money as possible for Comic Relief. Please encourage as many people as you can to visit www.sportrelief.com to find out as much information as they need.
To register for the run you need to visit the above address to be given a start time. Once you have signed up you will receive a sponsor form. The race waves will be at hourly intervals throughout the day.
There will be many things to see and do (as well as run), Zoe Colton (she comes here for games and sports club sometimes) will be taking Tag Rugby sessions all day for those that would like an extra 'run around'!
Wren Trust
FEET FIRST (formerly Tavistock Folk Dance) is going ahead on 15th March 2008 from 10 a.m. ¨C 2 p.m. at
The morning session will be a choice of 3 workshops:
1. Folk Music Instruments with Nick Wyke and Becki Driscoll (open to
players and beginners ¨C instruments provided or bring your own!) 2. Singing for Dance with Matt Norman and Sarah Owen
3. Folk Dance with Dave Faulkner
There will be half an hour lunch break at 12.00, during which children can purchase healthy snacks from the Lions Club stall or eat a packed lunch.
After lunch there will be a chance for schools to show dances they have learnt and for everyone to come together to learn dances together to a professional live folk dance band!
Children can come for the workshops in the morning, the dance in the afternoon or all of the event. Children can book as part of a school or be brought by their parents. The day is open to primary age children over the age of 8 (due to our child protection policy).
All workshop leaders are CRB checked and have extensive experience of working with children.
This should be a really good fun event, places are free but you¡¯ll need to book in advance.
